The Sachsenhausen submarket comprises the district that is located south to the city centre on the south bank of the Main and is part of the largest and oldest districts of Frankfurt. The submarket consists of two districts Sachsenhausen North and Sachsenhausen South. The northern part is relatively densely populated, whereas the southern part is mostly covered with the Frankfurt city forest and serves as the city limits of Frankfurt am Main to Offenbach. Sachsenhausen convinces by its good transport connection and the variety of restaurants and shopping facilities which are within walking distance. Numerous suburban railway, underground and trams as well as motorway accesses link this district to Frankfurt and the surrounding area.
