Location Description
The Banking District is located centrally between the submarkets Westend, City and Railway Station District. The office high rises are predominantly located on the main thoroughfares Neue Mainzer Strasse and Mainzer Landstrasse, on both sides of Taunusanlage and to the west of Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage. The city’s two tallest skyscrapers – the Commerzbank Tower with a height of 259 meters and the Messeturm with 257 meters – are both located in the district. Other famous high-rises are Deutsche Bank Twin Towers (Green Towers), Silvertower, Skyper, Tower 185, Main Tower and Trianon. The famous skyline of the Banking District is not only one of Frankfurt’s most striking landmarks and the reason why the city is often referred to as “Mainhatten” but also a symbol of the financial market in general.
